Bertie's Marvellous Black Garlic Chilli Sauce Wins at the 2026 Great Taste Awards

We are beyond delighted that our Black Garlic Chilli Sauce has won 1 Star at the 2026 Great Taste Awards! 

We have worked hard to refining the sauce over the last year, and are very proud of the recognition of this, long believing this sauce is a hidden gem!

Judges Comments:

"We loved the consistency of the sauce, glistening in the jar, as also its wonderful spicy aroma. We felt that there was a harmonious balance between the spice and the heat that coated the mouth and lingered, allowing the heat to develop but not overwhelm. The sweetness was evident but well executed within the sauce. This would be a fantastic accompaniment."

"The deepest dark brown velvety black chilli sauce. Deep umami and wonderful black garlic notes, with a little sweetness from the tamari. The blend was fabulous and we could think of endless ways to use this sauce."
